U.S. Marshals search for Alberto Rivera who is wanted for questioning in shooting

WEST ALLIS (WITI) — U.S. Marshals and West Allis Police are looking for 36-year-old Alberto Rivera.

Rivera is wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting on April 8th at 57th and National.  West Allis Police say Rivera is a suspect.  He’s been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon for the incident.

Two people were shot during the incident.  One them died from his injuries.  West Allis Police say they have information Rivera was in a vehicle with the two victims before the shooting.

Madison Police respond to two incidents of shots fired Friday night

 MADISON (WKOW) -- Police are investigating two reports of shots fired on the city's west side.  

The first case of shots fired was called in around 10:20 Friday.  Multiple shots were heard in the area of the 6900-block of Park Ridge Drive.  A witness told police they saw a man running away, but no victims or damages were found.  

Shooting investigation underway in Fitchburg

FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- Officers are looking for two men following a shooting early Saturday morning.  The suspects shot two people, including a child.  

According to police, the incident happened in the 3300-block of Leopold Way around 3:00 a.m.  Two adults and a child had just returned home to their parking lot on Leopold Way.  While the driver was leaving the car, a suspect approached the driver with a handgun and tried to go through the person's pockets.  The driver got away, but the suspect stayed back.  

Mistrial declared in McMillen case

With the jury two hours into the second day of deliberation in Stephanie McMillen’s attempted murder trial, a new twist came to life.

McMillen’s defense attorney, Jay Englund, moved that the judge declare a mistrial, and with no resistance from the prosecution, it was granted.

Whether or not the District Attorney will resubmit in the Columbia County Circuit Court to go to trial a second time is yet to be determined, the earliest details are likely to come through a conference scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Teen charged with stabbing father of former prom date

MADISON, Wis. - Prosecutors said a 17-year-old Madison boy stabbed and wounded the father of his former prom date because her parents asked him to help pay for the prom dress she wouldn't get to use.

The criminal complaint charges the McFarland High School student with attempted first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly stabbing Matthew McLimans, of Stoughton, seven times in the early hours of April 30.

Report of shots fired near 22nd and Center in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating a report of shots fired near the parking lot of the Greater New Birth Church at 22nd and Center on the city’s north side.

Police tell FOX6 News that a funeral was being held for Damario Jones and Montrell Burdine, the victims of a double shooting that occurred Friday, May 1st near 37th and Nash, at the time of the shots fired incident.

Authorities say at least two suspects were involved in an altercation that lead to the shots being fired.

Several cars were hit but no one was injured.

24-year-old man charged in connection with shooting that left two members of same family dead

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — A 24-year-old Milwaukee man faces several charges in connection with a shooting that left two people from the same family dead. It happened last Friday, May 1st near 37th and Nash following a fight in the street.

He is accused in the deaths of Damario Jones and Montrell Burdine.

Police: One dead and two injured following shootings

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — One person is dead and two others were injured in two separate shooting incidents that occurred late Thursday night, May 7th.

Milwaukee police say they are investigating a homicide that occurred near 50th and Center around 10:40 p.m.

Police say a 32-year-old man from Milwaukee was shot while on the porch of his girlfriend’s residence by an unknown subject(s). The victim died from his wounds on scene despite lifesaving efforts. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear, and police say their investigation is ongoing.

Remains found in Jefferson County identified as Kelly Dwyer

UPDATE 05/07 3:52 p.m. -- The human remains found in Jefferson County recently have been identified as those of Kelly Dwyer, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department tells TODAY'S TMJ4.

Dwyer went missing in October of 2013. A 6:15 p.m. news conference has been planned with more information.

The Jefferson County Medical Examiner's Office said in a statement that a forensic odontologist made the identification, but a cause of death has not been determined pending further investigation.

Authorities recover body from Fox River

APPLETON – An investigation is underway in Appleton after a man’s body was pulled from the Fox River.

Authorities say the body is that of an adult male. However, investigators are still trying to work out a time-line of how long the body was in the river.

The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department says the body was found in the water off of West River Road and Memorial Drive in Appleton.

Officers say the call came in to 911 at about four o-clock Wednesday afternoon.
