19-year-old charged in Madison shooting

MADISON (WKOW) -- The 19-year-old accused in Friday's shooting at Interstate Blood and Plasma now faces two felony charges.

Prosecutors filed charges against Aquan Bell on Tuesday. He faces one count of felony injury by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon and one felony count of possession of a firearm. 

Slender Man attorney: Girl Can not face trial in adult court

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- An attorney for one of two young girls accused of stabbing their classmate to please the horror character Slender Man is arguing his client doesn't belong in adult court.

Defense lawyer Anthony Cotton filed a brief Tuesday with Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren arguing that he can't bind her over for trial in adult court on an attempted first-degree homicide charge.

Dr. Robert W. Huntington III, a forensic pathologist whose wit, theatricality and lack of pretension brought life to the grimmest of subjects, died Sunday at his home near Mazomanie, where he and his wife raised goats.

He was 77.

For years, as an associate professor of pathology at UW-Madison, the white-bearded (no mustache) Huntington was the go-to man for autopsies for many counties in Wisconsin, including Dane County, that had elected coroners instead of licensed medical examiners.

Madison man pleads not guilty in UWSP death

STEVENS POINT (WAOW) - A Madison man accused in the heroin overdose death of a University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point student pleaded not guilty Monday to first-degree reckless homicide, according to online Portage County Court records.

Charlie Phillips-Moore, 21, entered the plea after a judge ruled prosecutors presented enough evidence during a preliminary hearing to justify the charge.

No trial date was immediately set.

MAN CHARGED WITH SHOOTING, KILLING WAUKESHA GAS STATION

MILWAUKEE —The third suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a gas station clerk in Waukesha. Charges are filed in the killing of a Waukesha gas station clerk. 

Darrin Malone 38, was caught in Milwaukee on Monday with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Office.

Police said Malone was one of the masked men involved in the shooting death of Saeed Sharwani, 65, on Jan. 13.

Kenneth Thomas, 19, is accused of firing the fatal shot.

Cottage Grove man arrested in connection to crash that killed McFarland teen

MCFARLAND (WKOW) --- A 23-year-old Cottage Grove man has been arrested in connection to a January crash that killed a 16-year-old male from McFarland.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office says they arrested Joseph W. Jobe of Cottage Grove on a felony charge of Causing Death by Providing Alcohol to  Minor.

Holmen Police arrest two in connection with childs death

Holmen, WI (WXOW) - Two people are arrested in connection with the death of a toddler.

Holmen Police arrested Dylan Bartsh, 30, of Altura, MN and Jaymie Rundle, 24, of Holmen, both for party to the crime and child neglect resulting in death and physical abuse of a child.

Police said the investigation into Bartsh and Rundle began last year when the 3-year-old girl, identified as Bartsh's daughter, was hospitalized for a seizure. No other details are being released at this time.

JEROME A. SCOTT, age 40

An autopsy was conducted on February 13, 2015 at the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death has been determined to be by ligature strangulation. The manner of death has been determined to be homicide.
