Milwaukee - man killed in overnight domestic incident

MILWAUKEE —Milwaukee police said one of their officers had to shoot a man who was threatening his estranged wife with a knife.

Police said they were called to a home on Plainfield Avenue near Jasper Avenue just before midnight Thursday. The call involved a wanted suspect threatening his wife with a knife.

Officers forced their way into the home and found a 45-year-old man threatening his wife with a knife.

Holmen homicide suspect awaits extradition

The Holmen man charged with first degree intentional homicide in the death of his girlfriend will face a judge in Jones County, Iowa on Monday.

Bryce Anderson is charged with killing 28 year old Kristen Johnson at their home in Holmen on Sunday morning.

According to the criminal complaint, Anderson accused Johnson of having an affair.

One neighbor said she ended her relationship with Anderson last week and was working on bettering her life for her and her children.

Accused in murder of roommate, Jacob Rogers in court Thursday

RACINE (WITI) — Racine police on Tuesday night, March 3rd were able to take 27-year-old Jacob Rogers into custody. Rogers was wanted in connection with the shooting death of his roommate, 27-year-old Andrew Jones. It’s a murder police say was caught on video.

A criminal complaint has been issued and filed against Dexter L. Ewing, DOB 12/24/1972, in connection with the death of Jerome A. Scott, DOB 10/12/1974. This incident occurred at the Columbia Correctional Institution (CCI) in Portage, Wisconsin on February 12, 2015. Mr. Ewing and Mr. Scott were both inmates at CCI and were cellmates.

Madison Police are investigating an attempted murder of a teen on the city west side.

MADISON (WKOW) --  Madison Police are investigating an attempted murder of a teen on the city's west side.

The victim, a 17-year old male, was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect inside a home in the 5800 block of Russett Road, just north or Raymond Road west of Whitney Way.

Police say the shooting happened around 10:30 Saturday night.  

Detectives are trying to determine whether this case is related to the shots fired at the West Towne Mall.

Madison Police tells 27 News West Towne Mall is on lockdown right now following reports of shots fired there.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Madison police are searching for a small group of suspects who got into a fight inside West Towne Mall Saturday evening that ended with shots fired in the parking lot.

The incident sent scared shoppers and mall workers out in the cold around 5:30 p.m. while investigators gathered evidence.

Wisconsin man arrested after standoff on I-94 in Indiana

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) – Indiana State Police say a man from Wisconsin wanted after allegedly firing shots inside an Illinois store was arrested following a standoff on Interstate 94.

State police say 34-year-old Vincent Toliver of Madison, Wisconsin, is facing preliminary charges of possession of stolen property and resisting law enforcement. He could not be reached for comment because he was being held in the LaPorte County Jail on Saturday. It was not known if he has hired an attorney.

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- A 13-year-old boy has died after he was stabbed during a fight in Wausau that may have been prompted by a dispute on social media.

2-month-old dies; Boyfriend of mother arrested

FITCHBURG, Wis. -  A 24-year-old man is suspected in the death of a 2-month-old in Fitchburg

Fitchburg police were called to the 3600 block of Breckenridge Court Monday for a report of an unresponsive 2-month-old. The infant was breathing when first responders arrived, but later died at a hospital.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday.

Corey L. Holly, 24, of Fitchburg, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree reckless homicide. Police said Holly is the boyfriend of the infant’s mother and lived with both of them.
