Milwaukee police investigate homicide on Milwaukee’s north side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 3200 block of N. 9th St. at 2:45pm on January 31st.

Police say a 29-year-old man from Milwaukee was shot while operating a vehicle. Despite life-saving measures on scene, the victim died from his injuries.

Milwaukee police are handling the scene — but right now, few details are being released.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Charges filed against father in Town of Sharon shooting

TOWN OF SHARON (WKOW) -- A Walworth County man is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor in a July shooting in which his son shot and killed another boy.

Court records show Michael Webb, 45, was officially charged this week.

An 11-year-old boy was shot and killed at his property on July 9.

Milwaukee man, 18, charged in brother’s fatal shooting

MILWAUKEE (AP) – An 18-year-old Milwaukee man who says he accidentally shot his brother is now charged with negligent homicide.

Dennis J. Jackson faces a felony count of homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon.

Jackson’s brother, 23-year-old Leroy Smith, died Monday at a house in Milwaukee. According to the criminal complaint, witnesses told police that Jackson had said he shot Smith by accident.

Wisconsin man convicted in taxi driver homicide

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) – A Wisconsin man who led police on a chase in a stolen cab with the 79-year-old driver’s body in the trunk has been convicted of reduced charges.

Timmy Johnson Jr., 26, pleaded no contest to reckless homicide, kidnapping and armed robbery with use of force. He was accused in the June 12 robbery and death of Platteville taxi driver Merle Forbes.

Milwaukee man accused of killing sister, father bound over for trial

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — 22-year-old Efrain Garcia-Sotelo waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, January 28th. The court then found probable cause in the case and bound Garcia-Sotelo over for trial. Garcia-Sotelo  is the Milwaukee man accused in the stabbing deaths of his sister and his father.
