Wetterling person of interest charged with child pornography

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minnesota man charged with child pornography after a search of his home found pictures of naked boys is also a "person of interest" in the disappearance of Jacob Wetterling, whose 1989 abduction led his parents to launch a national center to prevent child exploitation.

(CNN) - An 11-year-old boy disappeared on a dark rural road in central Minnesota on the night of October 22, 1989.

Jacob Wetterling of St. Joseph, his brother and a friend were coming home from a convenience store on bikes and a scooter when a man wearing a stocking mask and holding a gun approached.

He asked the boys their ages, grabbed Jacob and told the others to run into the woods or else he'd shoot, Jacob's father has said, recounting what his son told police. 

Man charged with fatal Winona shooting fights extradition

WINONA, Minn. (AP) -- Prosecutors say one of the two men charged with a killing a Winona man during a robbery is fighting extradition from Wisconsin.

Lonnie Hudson is being held in the Marathon County Jail in Wausau, Wisconsin. He's accused of fatally shooting Adam Fort during a robbery attempt at the victim's Winona apartment Oct. 18.

Winona County Attorney Karin Sonneman says it's not yet known whether the second man charged in the shooting, Reginald Burnett, held in Will County, Illinois, will waive or contest extradition.

UPDATE: Father charged with homicide in death of infant son in Jefferson

JEFFERSON (WKOW) -- A man is charged with First Degree Reckless Homicide in the death of his five-month-old son in Jefferson County last week.

Terrance Curtis made his initial court appearance Tuesday afternoon and the judge set his bail at $500,000.

Court documents show a Milwaukee County Medical Examiner found the child died of blunt force trauma to the head. That medical examiner expressed the opinion the child's injuries could not have been caused on accident.

Police investigate threat of violence posted to UWM Uncovered Facebook page

MILWAUKEE -- A threat of violence at school has prompted a massive investigation at UW-Milwaukee. An anonymous post on Facebook threatened shooting, and bringing a knife to class to stab students.

On Facebook page "UW-Milwaukee Uncovered," people can anonymously post secrets, confessions and desires.

"You have to be careful what you post online," Anna Evans, UWM senior said.

Last week, UW-Milwaukee police say someone made a post on the page that crossed the line.

Two of three charged in the shooting death of Laylah Petersen plead not guilty

MILWAUKEE — 24-year-old Paul Farr and  20-year-old Carl Barrett, two of three men charged in the shooting death of Laylah Petersen, entered pleas of not guilty and were bond over for trial on Wednesday, October 28th.

The three people charged in this case are: 24-year-old Paul Farr, 20-year-old Carl Barrett and 23-year-old Arlis Gordon. Police say Farr and Barrett were arrested on October 14th in Milwaukee. Gordon was arrested in suburban Chicago on October 17th on unrelated charges.

Police seek suspect after two-year-old child dies following Milwaukee fire

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police have released the name and photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide/arson that occurred on October 20th near 36th and Silver Spring Drive. A two-year-old child died following this arson fire, and a 10-year-old child was critically injured. Four other children and their grandmother escaped from the home.

The suspect in this case is 26-year-old Michael Morgan. FOX6 News has learned Morgan is an uncle of the two-year-old girl who died following this fire, and he is married to the mother of the 10-year-old boy critically hurt.

Two suspects arrested in Winona shooting

Two suspects have now been arrested in conjunction with the October 18th Winona shooting.

Lonnie Lavonte Keymone Hudson was arrested Thursday night in Wausau, WI after a brief foot pursuit. 

He is currently in custody pending an Extradition Hearing in Wausau. 

The warrant for his arrest was issued for murder in the second degree, aggravated robbery first degree, ineligible person in possession of a firearm, and assault in the second degree. 

Cause of 2 deaths in Sheboygan still unknown

SHEBOYGAN (AP) — Police are waiting for toxicology tests to determine how two people died in Sheboygan.

Capt. Kurt Brasser tells Sheboygan Press Media there was no trauma or other obvious signs of how the two died. The 50-year-old man and 59-year-old woman were found dead by friends at a Sheboygan house Oct. 11.

Brasser says the deaths could be overdose-related, but the toxicology tests will help make that determination.

Police still searching for two suspects in Winona Shooting

INONA, Minn. (WKBT) - Officers are still searching for two males who were involved in a shooting on Sunday in Winona.

Winona Police investigate report of a shooting Sunday afternoon

At approximately 1:05 PM Winona officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Gilmore Avenue with a report of a male shot in the abdomen.

Upon arrival officers found a 31-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to the torso.

Medical personnel provided medical care, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
