MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A 29-year-old man convicted for his role in the fatal shooting of a Waukesha gas station clerk has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Darrin Malone was sentenced this week in Waukesha County Circuit Court. He was also sentenced to 10 years of extended supervision.
A jury found Malone guilty of felony murder in February for his role in the death of 65-year-old Saeed Sharwani. He had previously pleaded not guilty.
He was one of three people charged in Sharwani's death.
Twenty-one-year-old Kenneth Thomas has pleaded guilty to felony murder and armed robbery. Jerica Cotton, the alleged getaway driver, has pleaded guilty to armed robbery as party to a crime.
Authorities say Thomas was the one who shot and killed Sharwani in the botched robbery attempt.
