UPDATE: Madison - Last nights shots fired call is now among 33 cases since April
UPDATE (WKOW) -- Madison Police have released witness accounts of Thursday evening's shooting in the Prairie Road area.
According to authorities, a 13-year-old girl was in her bedroom when bullets were fired through the wall. She escaped injury. Another 14-year-old girl was in a nearby home when rounds struck the residence, shattering a storm door and damaging property inside the home. She also was uninjured. Another woman in the neighborhood said she had to hit the floor when she heard the gunshots. Additional parents in the area had to hustle their children inside to safety.
The Madison Police Department contacted four young men, all of whom believe they were targets of the shooting. They say they were outside when a car rolled up, and at least one shooter got out. Officers say the young men ran and were not wounded.
A resident in the area says he looked outside his window at the time of the shooting, and saw man firing a handgun before running westbound between of couple of Prairie Drive homes.
No suspect has been apprehended in the incident.

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police are investigating reports of bullets being fired into homes on the city's southwest side Thursday night.
Officers found rounds in multiple homes around the 1300 block of Prairie Road.
Police say nobody was injured.
It's the fourth report of shots fired in the Elver Park neighborhood in the last week.
Authorities say all four incidents remain under investigation. Madison PD says it's possible the reported shootings are related, but any connection is presently unknown.
