Mosinee (WSAW)~ A 23-year-old Mosinee man is behind bars on a $100,000 cash bond on allegations he sold heroin to a man leading to an overdose death. Ryne Oleson is charged with first degree reckless homicide and delivering heroin.
According to court documents, officers responded to a Rothschild hotel Sept. 7 for an unresponsive man.
Inside one of the hotel's rooms Mark Blaskowski, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene. Blaskowski's roommate told officers the two had purchased heroin hours earlier. Autopsy results show Blaskowkski's cause of death was heroin toxicity.
Officers arrested Oleson after a search of Blaskowski's phone records, and reviewing surveillance video from the hotel.
Oleson is expected to learn if the case will head to trial during a hearing April 27.
