Unsolved murder victim remembered
MADISON (WKOW) -- Friday night, family and friends honored the memory of Julia Majette, a Madison woman shot and killed on this day two years ago.
They held a candlelight vigil at the state Capitol, and walked around the building.
Majette's mother says she remembers her daughter as a very joyous person.
"She was just loving. and the main thing, everybody just loved her smile. and she never had a sad face, she just smiled all the time no matter what she was going through in her life and trouble, and she loved helping people," said Tracey Cherry.
Majette's murder is still unsolved.
Her mother urged anyone who may have information on the 2013 shooting to come forward.
