Three vehicles associated with Andrew Oregon case now recovered

KENOSHA COUNTY -- It's a small community with a big time criminal roaming around. Residents in the Town of Brighton are on alert as homicide suspect Andrew Obregon continues to elude authorities in cornfields and high-speed chases. Folks in the surrounding areas are trying to not let the manhunt disrupt their lives too much.

It was an upbeat day on Saturday, October 10th, as JeddyFest 2015 went on without incident -- despite the possibility of Obregon looming nearby.

Andrew Obregon remains a suspect in the homicide of Tywon Anderson, whose body was found in a field of corn off Highway A in Kenosha County on September 26th.

"He's here some place," said Jayce Redmer, JeddyFest 2015 participant.

Event organizers made changes to the festivities and rerouted the 5K on the roads rather than cornfields, where Obregon is suspected of hiding.

"It was safer. There were enough people around that I didn't feel nervous at all," said Danielle Goslawski, JeddyFest 2015 participant.

However, while celebrating the annual event, it was hard not to have the manhunt in the back of their minds.

"When you go out to your truck in the dark morning, you're looking around a little to make sure he ain't hiding behind a tree waiting to grab your vehicle," said Redmer.

"Honestly, it feels like they should have caught him already," said Goslawski.

Though feeling a sense of uneasiness, many are eager for a break in the investigation. After Obregon allegedly committed a string of burglaries, armed robberies and high-speed chases in the past week.

Saturday, authorities say three of the vehicles believed to have been driven by Obregon during the high-speed pursuits with Kenosha and Racine County sheriff's deputies, have been recovered.

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said the recovered vehicles include:

1988 Black Mustang
2015 White Ford Transit Van with green lettering
2001 White Ford F-350 dually pick-up truck

While Obregon's location continues to be a mystery, one thing is for certain: these residents want the search to come to an end and the suspect in custody so lives can get back to normal.

Anyone with information about Obregon’s whereabouts is urged to call the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department at 262-605-5100. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call the Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333 or toll-free at 800-807-8477.Information leading to arrest and conviction may result in a reward up to $1,000.
