Milwaukee police said Friday night that they are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 800 block of W. Atkinson Ave.
Police reported that a 25-year-old Milwaukee man told them that he was shot as he drove away from the scene after purchasing drugs.
The man drove his vehicle to a Walgreens located at 2222 W. Capitol Drive, where he called police. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of nonlife threatening wounds.
Police said the man has been "less than forthcoming with investigators." They said the man indicated he did not know who shot him or who sold him the drugs. | Feb. 6, 2015
