Police: Innocent bystander shot and injured outside FoodTown Supermarket​

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened on Thursday evening, May 12th at 6608 W. Fond du Lac Avenue (near Fond du Lac and Hampton) — an address which lists to the FoodTown Supermarket.

The shooting happened around 7:00 p.m.

Police say a 46-year-old woman was shot in the left thigh following an argument between a man and an employee of the store.

The suspect pulled out a handgun and the employee pulled out pepper spray, and the suspect was sprayed.

Police say the suspect then fired — striking the 46-year-old woman who was an innocent bystander.

The shooting happened near the store’s front door.

The suspect fled the scene after this shooting.
