PRINCETON, Wis. - A 29-year-old man will spend his life in prison for shooting and killing a woman then burning her body in a fire.
Antonio R. Contreras was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 55-year-old Grace Reiter-Rudolph. In court Thursday, he was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole.
Other charges against Contras -- including arson, mutilating a corpse and possession of a firearm -- were dismissed but read during sentencing.
According to police, the couple lived in the home where Reiter-Rudolph's burned body was found on March 13, and Contreras reportedly admitted to taking drugs and shooting Reiter-Rudolph before setting the home on fire.
