Charges filed in two fatal Milwaukee crashes

MILWAUKEE —Charges were filed Friday in two fatal crashes this week.

Gerald Harper, 18, was charged with two counts of homicide by negligent operation of the vehicle. Police said he was the driver of a stolen car that blew through a stop sign at Hi-Mount Boulevard and Lloyd Street on Wednesday.

Harper was also charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license -- causing death.

Two of the his 16-year-old passengers, were killed and another passenger, 17, injured.

The driver of the car Harper collided with was not seriously injured.

Terrell Jones was charged with hit-and-run resulting death in the crash at 91st Street and Fond du Lac Avenue on Wednesday morning.

Aden Durow, 61, was killed. He was a beloved employee at Goodwill Industries.

Jones' never had a valid driver's license, according to the criminal complaint.
