A release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety says 24-year-old Brandon James Thoma is a suspect in a Nov. 10 beating in a home in Elkader, Iowa.

Officials said he broke into the home after the woman’s husband left and repeatedly struck and kicked her. The woman was found by her husband when he returned from work, and she was taken to a hospital.
