UPDATE: Man, 19, charged in fisherman's fatal stabbing

BALSAM LAKE, Wis. (AP) -- The man wanted in the stabbing death of a fisherman after an argument on opposite banks of the St. Croix River has been charged.

The Polk County sheriff's office says Levi Acre-Kendall of Cambridge, MN, was accompanied by his attorney when he turned himself in Thursday afternoon.

The Acre-Kendall was wanted in the death of Peter Kelly, a 34-year-old father of five from St. Croix Falls. The suspect appeared in court Friday afternoon and was been charged with 1st degree reckless homicide. His bond was set at $125,000.

Kelly was killed after he and a friend fishing on the Minnesota side confronted a group of anglers fishing on the Wisconsin side.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports Kelly was stabbed in the chest. He died at the scene.

The sheriff's office says other men have been identified and interviewed in connection to the case.
