WEST ALLIS (WITI) — One person is dead and another injured after a shooting in West Allis late Wednesday night, April 8th.
West Allis police were notified of a possible shooting near S. 57th and National around 10:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims, a male and female. The male victim died from an apparent gunshot wound. The female victim suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officers and detectives are currently investigating this incident. At this time, there are no other known victims and no one is in custody for the shooting.
Police say the circumstances and potential for suspects are being investigated and this is an ongoing, active investigation.
