WAHI 2020 Conference is Cancelled due to COVID-19

March 23, 2020

Dear WAHI association,

Faced with the current state of affairs brought on by the coronavirus (COVID-19), it is with deep regret the Wisconsin Association of Homicide Investigators must cancel our annual conference at the Kalahari Resort on April 21st through April 24th, 2020.

The restrictions placed by the Governor’s state of emergency and no assembly of greater than ten (10) people would make our event impossible.  State and local law enforcement agencies are also restricting travel, training and personal leave for law enforcement personnel.

As we face the challenges of responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19), the safety, health, and well-being of our attendees, first responders and event staff will remain our highest priority.

WAHI will be refunding your conference fees to your agencies. If you wish to transfer the conference fees to next year’s conference, please send Dana Nigbor an email at dnigbor@elknet.net.

Over the past few months, WAHI board members have been working very hard on developing an application to better assist the members of WAHI while at the conference and to stay updated with WAHI current events.

If you are current member of WAHI please download the WAHI application in Google Play Store or Apple’s app store.  If you have difficulty downloading the application, please contact Wayne Smith at wayne.smith@lodipolicewi.us or Mike Reimer at reimermt@doj.state.wi.us.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
