Man fatally shot while sitting on porch in Racine

RACINE, Wis. - Racine police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man.

Authorities say Harry Canady Jr. of Racine was sitting on the porch of a home when he was shot about 5 p.m. Sunday. He was rushed to Ascension All Saints Hospital where he died.

Police say no one is in custody.

Kris Zocco charged in Milwaukee woman Kelly Dwyers murder

Years after Kelly Dwyer went missing and her body was discovered, prosecutors filed homicide charges in the case. 

Kris Zocco had a relationship with Dwyer when she disappeared. He has been in prison on unrelated child pornography charges, but has always been a person of interest in this case.

UPDATE Police officer and 3 civilians dead after shooting near Rothschild

ROTHSCHILD — Police in northern Wisconsin say an officer and three other people were killed in what apparently began as a domestic dispute in a bank.

Everest Metro Police Chief Wally Sparks said the slain officer was from his department. Sparks did not release the officer's name. The names of the other three dead also were not released.

Sparks said a suspect was in custody.

The violence in the small town of Rothschild began shortly after noon on Wednesday, March 22nd after police were summoned to what they called a "domestic situation" at Marathon Savings Bank.

Housing inspector shot and killed near 23rd and Cherry

MILWAUKEE -- A 64-year-old City of Milwaukee Department of Neighborhood Services employee who has worked with the department for 33 years was shot and killed near 23rd and Cherry in broad daylight on Wednesday, March 22nd.

"This is a very, very, very, very horrific event, and a very, very difficult time for (the victim's) family. It is a difficult time for the City of Milwaukee. It's the most difficult day I've had as mayor to go through this, and see what this is like and talk to (the victim's) family members," Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said at the scene Wednesday afternoon.

UPDATED Breaking News 2 injured in Wausau area shooting and schools are on lockdown

ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAW) - A suspect in a series of shootings in the Wausau area is holed up in an apartment building in Scholfield in a standoff against a SWAT team.

Two people are reportedly in critical condition with gunshot wounds following the shootings at three separate scenes which began around 1 p.m. Wednesday and occurred within minutes.

The Rothschild Police Chief says it began as a domestic incident. More information is expected at a news conference scheduled at 4:45 p.m.

2015 homicide suspect arrested during traffic stop

Jackson County, WI (WXOW) -The La Crosse County Sheriff's Department says a homicide suspect was arrested Sunday during at traffic stop in Trempealeau County.

24-year-old Harley Est was arrested with the coordination of several agencies on a felony warrant for homicide. The warrant comes from Jackson County as a result of a heroin related death in 2015. 

Dodge Co Sheriffs Lieutenant dragged by a vehicle

WAUPUN (WLUK) A Dodge County sheriff's deputy suffered minor injuries during an overnight incident.

Officials say around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, deputies made a traffic stop in the Town of Chester.

Officials say a 22-year-old Waupun man was pulled over

He then took off and dragged the lieutenant a short distance.

Officials say the suspect continued going.

He later crashed and ran away.

He was taken into custody at a home.

Fatal overdose leads to homicide charge

APPLETON - Three people survived overdoses before a 34-year-old woman died from "multidrug toxicity" in 2015, according to court records.

Now, the man who police believe sold the drugs responsible for the overdoses is facing charges of first-degree reckless homicideand delivering a schedule I or II narcotic, second and subsequent offense, in Outagamie County court.

Leslie A. Brown, 25, of Kaukauna made his first appearance Tuesday in the overdose death of Valerie M. Rhoades on Oct. 19, 2015. Outagamie County Court Commissioner Brian Figy ordered a $50,000 cash bond.

Homes and one car damaged after shooting near airport

MADISON, Wis. - The Madison Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired Thursday night that damaged more than one home.

This happened at 9:29 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Starling Lane. That is near the Dane County Regional Airport.

Police said they found damage to more than one home and at least one car in the area. Multiple shell casings were found on scene. 

Police do not think anyone was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
